I just recently joined a reserve unit, and am travelling to Los Vegas with my mom to visit a friend for his birthday, so my question is this:
a. would I need to inform the reserve office (?) ( I would be missing one parade night)
b. who should I inform?

Thanks in advance,
-J

EDIT: I have read something about someone who was travelling to Cuba and that country was on  a list of something or other, requiring debriefing afterwards, would the US be on this list?

Go and enjoy yourself. Would be nice to let your unit know that you will miss a parade night.

Just ask your section commander if you can take that parade night off. Other than that.. have a fun trip.

Cheers,

Thanks all, I will try to have as much fun as being a 17 year old in Vegas allows  :'(

Too bad cause Vegas is Disney land for grown ups!  ;D

Actually there is lots to do for the young-uns too.  Have fun.  ;)

Me: Uhhh... MasterCorporal ______?
MCpl: what?
Me: I'm going to be missing a parade night two weeks from now,
MCpl: Why?
Me: Goin' to Vegas MCpl.
MCpl: Drink a beer for me son,
Me: Yes MCpl.
