Treating it as a job application

I have spent hours studying this site and I would like to say that it is a great source of CF information.  The occupation I am currently interested in is pilot.  I do not have the university degree, but am hopeful of the CEOTP opening up.  I have also further considered joining up NCM at a trade and later remuster.  How do I convince the recruiter that I am the right person for the job if I have no intentions of stopping there?  There are other trades I am interested in and would consider if there was 0% chance of becoming a pilot but until then what should I do?

Well, other posts on this forum have said that it is difficult to remuster. I tried to remuster when I was in the reserves and they basically told me to get lost, so if I was in the reg force and tried to remuster I would imagine that it would be even harder. Are you qualified to be a pilot? Not only do you need a university degree, but you need to be in optimal health. I am trying to join the reg force army, and when I told the recruiter in my interview that I wanted to be a field engineer for a while and then try to get into search and rescue, he seemed pleased that I had thought aboutme career and actually had ambitions, so if you joined as an aircraft mechanic or something similar but had aspirations to become a pilot, they might actually like that. Make sure, whatever you do, that when you join you pick a trade that you are interested in because it could take you YEARS to remuster / become a pilot.

just my opinion...
