Parties should be free to pick and choose who will lead into an election, and (if that individual wins their seat) caucus should initially accept that leader. But firing and replacement of leader between elections should be entirely the prerogative and responsibility of caucus.

No party constitution should be able to override that.

A bit more of an update. Turns out that some of the complaints about them cutting in line were less than genuine, since apparently there was no line due to most people being at home for Christmas break.
