So if you work for the State Dept. or the FBI what bet do you make? Who wields the most influence in the Oval Office? What if you listed to your Director and ignore the email but Musk and DOGE have POTUS behind them and they consider you "resigned"?

People have been thinking for months if not years about what they'd do if they won the administration. Assuming their actions are purposeless and emotionally-driven is foolish. Project 2025 wasn't the only group of people planning ahead.

Underestimation and mischaracterization of motives are bad mistakes to make.

It may come as a shock to some here, but most of those in the civil service and military go to work to do their job, not play partisan politics. Even those with strong political opinions.

Another shock is that new governments usually keep a good number of DM’s and ADM’s from the last government.
