I don't know if it is etched in stone or law but I'm not sure a special envoy is a position that requires accreditation. Denying entry for sure since he likely couldn't travel on a diplomatic passport and wouldn't be a tourist.

You are both right and wrong.
You are right insofar as language has meaning and I should have used "female children" or "underage females" or "girls" as the word "women" denotes an adult female. The phrase "underage woman" is basically an oxymoron notwithstanding that it is frequently used.
You're wrong insofar as it being a "deliberate effort to reframe the conversation" as it certainly wasn't intended as any of that.

If Trump hadn't been involved, I suspect many of the critics would still be offering up the same kind of tolerance shown to Roman Polanski (he's an important filmmaker, don't you know).
