Trump administration 2024-2028

Lame duck phase may start before the November election.

With the sudden passing of Doug LaMalfa the Republican majority narrows to 2 seats, and the upcoming special election in New Jersey may further narrow that down to 1.

This would mean Mike Johnson cannot lose a single vote from any Republican to pass bills.

There are also several Republicans leaving office early very soon on top of all of this.

I believe MTG is stepping down soon?

That said, life events hit democrats too. With a razor thin margin and hundreds of individual congresspeople, anything can happen with little to no notice.

How many bills have they been passing, and how many do they need to pass?
 
So he wants to raise the United States' military budget by $500 billion. Now we know that tariffs are paid for by the consumers (American citizens), can the average American citizen afford this increase to their budget?

I honestly don't know if the MAGA base even realizes that NATO was 100% there for them after the 9/11 attacks. I think that's just the reality of the situation. They will just kind of parrot this sort of thing and completely forget about it, or maybe they never were aware or cared to begin with.

And even here on the forum, you will be accused of "TDS" for opening calling out and criticizing those who support his every move, even while he literally spits on the sacrifices NATO soldiers have made to help defend America, as if it never happened.

He's going to be chewing rocks when he learns that the president's "budget" is actually just a budget request, and that Congress decides what parts of his wish-list get funded.
