Trump administration 2024-2028

One thing I noticed watching Noem and Leavitt that past couple of days is the number of times they reference 'under the leadership of President Trump', 'under the direction of President Trump, 'the Trump administration' or similar. I may be wrong but I don't recall other administrations that papered everything with the President's name. Could be wrong, but strikes me as a little 'dear leader-ish'.
It’s all sounds a bit North Koreanish, a bit old school Soviet.

I searched your 3 phrases but substituted Biden and got many hits. As for calling it the Trump Administration, that is the way it is always done. If anyone can find an instance where a presidency didn't use it I would be glad to educated on the matter.
Biden
This afternoon, at the direction of President Biden, U.S. fighter aircraft assigned to U.S. Northern Command successfully brought down the high altitude surveillance balloon launched by and belonging to the People's Republic of China (PRC) over the water off the coast of South Carolina in U.S. airspace.

Under the leadership of President Biden and Secretary Austin, the Department continues to support America's Indo-Pacific allies and partners as they invest in their own defense and security, in their relationships with each other, and in their relationships with the United States.

Political shading. Recollect when the Biden administration suddenly became the Biden-Harris administration when it was convenient/necessary to raise her profile.

North Korea vibes, or Axis Powers 2.0?

“It’s the greatest disorder, the law of the strongest, and everyday people wonder whether Greenland will be invaded, whether Canada will be under the threat of becoming the 51st state (of the United States) or whether Taiwan is to be further circled.”

Now do the same exercise with old Soviet news reports. I assure you it will be the same.

That's why they need to build a defence of "The Don told me to do it." How many angels can dance on the head of the pin "manifestly unlawful or not?"

🍻
There may also be an element of PR to cover make Trump seem more present than he is, to counterbalance the Napper in Chief videos and idiosyncratic speech delivery.

He has immunity for actions taken as President. None of the people in his orbit do.....
Pardons.

The recent escalation in pardons by an outgoing administration seeking to protect its people is not simply one kind of bad thing (ie. the pardons as such). Anyone crossing a line for his presidential master has essentially been compromised the same way spooks cultivate sources and criminals cultivate members - you did a bad thing; now we own you. The prize of pardon or jeopardy of no-pardon hangs over him. What else can he be persuaded to do?

Threats of future retribution as far as the law can be stretched emanating from the political opposition ensure that everyone knows the stakes - you get a pardon, or you're cooked; even if you think you've done nothing, there will be the time and expense of the process ("the process is the punishment"). You'll have people finding pretexts to peer into everything you've ever done to find something, anything, and trying to fit you up for a process crime (eg. perjury trap).

Probably needs a constitutional amendment to limit what can be pardoned, or scope (eg. only specifically named crimes, or only for convictions already settled). Also needs the rabid partisans on both "sides" to step back or be corralled in a back room by peers and convinced to lay off, or else.

The text attached to this is not mine…..I would point out though, the shooter drew his weapon while she was reversing away from him and before she turned hard right to drive away.

It certainly looks like jumpy/spooked ICE officers got a bit too frisky when they didn't need to.
