He puts it in his usual antagonizing ways, but it seems to just be reminding local authorities that they are responsible for cleaning up local messes; and, if they will not or cannot protect federal property, his administration will provide forces to do so. Maybe protests are expected to increase in number and intensity as the weather improves?

Just in the interest of a dose of needed reality, speaking from firsthand experience, police get ALL KINDS OF utterly insane and nonsensical allegations about various celebrities or prominent political figures. They’ll get recorded, in most places they’re subject to public disclosure under access to information law… But we literally have a statistical scoring in the Uniform Crime Reporting system for them called “Letter Writers/Talkers Nonsensical”.

So- there is likely to be a lot of true and absolutely heinous stuff in the Epstein files. There’s also certain to be a lot of utter nonsense. Telling them apart may be challenging given the extreme depravity that seems to have happened in his orbit.

He would have been inadmissible at that time unless he applied for and had gotten a waiver. He was denied entry in 2018.

But yeah, he was travelling to attend a TED conference. The unusual part is being allowed in with his record.
