I was more wondering about their comparative religious affiliations. Hegseth is reportedly an adherent of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches. The CREC is heavy into Christian Nationalism. While not aligned with the SBC, they are both evangenical and rely on a literal interpretation of the bible.

Vance is apparently a fairly recent Catholic.

To be fair, I have American friends who didn't know either. But none of them are the President of the United States (yet?).
 
Not surprised to read this. But, after the Pearl Harbor crack, it sounds like Japan knows the only way to handle him is silence, and polite agreement.

Former Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba reportedly had this to say,

You do realize that Trump has a hard on for monarchies (but he'd rather be an absolute monarch) and for some strange reason craves their acceptance and approval. Therefore it appears a word of warning from the King of Canada has far more weight than any push back from the Canadian Parliament.

None of this makes sense because we are dealing with a narcissistic lunatic and I'll take any support from anyone who may have a sliver of influence on this jackass.
