Ladies & Gents,
Just a quick update on Truth Duty Valour - the network (OLN) has listened to the emails sent from Western viewers and as of this Wednesday the show will be on new times. Here are the proposed timeslots:
Wednesdays at 9pm (eastern/Ontario time)
Sundays at 8pm (eastern/Ontario time)
We just found out today and have not had a chance to change the website. I know alot of viewers of the series frequent this website so thought we would start here with the announcement.
Wednesday's episode is about the Pathfinders course that ran this past Oct-Nov.
Thanks

Colin McKeown
Producer

Thanks very much for the update.

Just a thought. If OLN listened to the 'Western' viewers, and changed the timeslots accordingly, don't you think you shouild give us the new times in Mountain or Pacific time? I can do the math, but it just seems, oh I don't know, 'funny'.

BTW, those times are great for Easterners (those east of Winnipeg), but not that great for us on the left coast.

I don't know about great for Easterners. I know I won't be watching it when it comes on at 10:00pm Atlantic time. Work in the morning takes priority and since nobody wants a drowsy pilot flying them anywhere, that means I'm in bed at 10:00. Guess I'll have to try and catch the rerun on Sundays.

Sorry Inch, you were a victim of my BC prejudice (as my brother-in-law calls it). An Easterner to me is anyone living East of say, Winnipeg. You, in BC-speak, are a 'Maritimer', a sub-category of 'Easterner'.

Yeah, it's a good thing those folks at OLN changed those timeslots for non-Torontonians, I know my wife loves watching Army shows at 6 pm instead of the news or even better, at 5 pm on Sunday!

Colin,
Is there any way you can provide copies of your shows on CD to the guys overseas thru CFPSA?

BTW, my family really enjoyed the Medic competition episode. Thanks again to Lorie Ann for the bit at the end during the credits.

Despite my cynicism over the time changes, I kinda like the show as well.

Looking forward to the Pathfinder episode.

Ah, I'm not going to be able to watch it... Airs right on a parade night!  :P

So catch the re-run on Sundays :P

We're in the same boat!

Colin, great work on the firefighter episode, sat and watched it with a guy who put 20 years into that trade and he was impressed. Keep up the excellent work!

We provide a copy of eash season to the military overseas broadcast system. However, we legally cannot do so until the 2nd season has been broadcast once on OLN. I have already made provisions with the military to get a free copy of the series for the internal broadcast system for the troops overseas.
Glad you liked the credits, Laurie likes to ensure we add a personal touch to each show. We want Canadians to see who the people are that they are asking to go on missions. Not some faceless soldier but a fellow Canadian who has a family like themselves. Thanks for all your efforts. We made this show to profile and thank people like you.
Cheers
Colin

I went to the TDV website yesterday and I think they updated it because it looks totally different and the site lists the episodes from season 1 and for season 2. Can't wait for the Pathfider episode that is going to be interesting!!

FINALLY

I havn't been able to watch ANY of the shows because they are on at 3pm and 3am... impossible to watch at those times.  Thanks for the news  :warstory:

I tape them if I can't catch it.  Looking forward to tonight though.  I'm going to tape it so I can watch it over and over again.

I usually tape them also because when 8:00am rollsa around Im already on the bus to highschool.

newflyfisher,

I love your show and the work you are doing. It is a great modivational and educational tool for someone who is in the process of joining up and doing physical training. I sometimes catch TDV while I am doing my workout in the gym on the treadmill.

I was wondering if you were going to try to get video chains like BlockBuster to carry TDV to rent? I am almost never near a TV, and I am too much of a cheap skate to buy the DVD's ;)

They should do a show on the Urban Operations Instructor Course for Season 3.  One of the NCO's I work with was on the first course this past Fall.  It was pretty damn cool from what i've heard and seen from the pictures.
