I think it was more a visceral hate of JT by DJT. Much like PP the wind is out of those sails now.

They will say we would be better off as a state every now and again but I view it as empty and and just a continued commitment to an emotional outburst now.

Just my completely uneducated opinion on it.

At this current juncture, I'd bet there are more states thinking they'd be better off as provinces.

Canada is an external rambling from Trump. More Americans are concerned with the illegal deportstions, defiance of the White House to judicial authority, and the worsening economic situation due to tariffs.

If Carney comes out of the gate quick with a fast tracked, signed deal for 12 subs, the tracked/wheeled arty deal, HIMARS and something substantial for GDLS in London to keep the line running, I think Trump will have little to bitch about with us.
Even if we cut the F35 contract down to say, 65 and announce at the same time the purchase of 50-65 Rafael’s, in addition to the above, the wind will be largely taken from Trumps sails.

Trump would just whine about the same stuff he whined about before; his largely imagined border problems, and his entirely imagined notion that a net trade deficit means we’re ‘freeloading’ and that the U.S. is ‘subsidizing’ us.

Remember that the grievances he says out loud are largely illegitimate, and probably not the actual motivators anyway. They’re really dumb pretexts for an audience of really dumb people.
