Anyone watching the fights tonight?  Any predictions?

Fight card is here.

Glad to see David 'The Crow' Loiseau on the card, haven't seen him fight for a while now.

I going with Liddell in 2nd round.

I can't say I remember Pat Barry from any fights at all, but that could be a good one with Cro Cop.

I'll be trying. I'm with a few nancy friends from back home tonight but hoping to see some good bouts. Im going Liddell. I hope he smashes Franklin but not expecting a blowout. All in on a 1st round smash up of Franklin.

Id like Yrevl to smash Rothwell too. Agreed on Cro Cop.

I'm really unsure on the main fight but I think it will be Liddell decision to be honest.

Barry KO CC

Another good one should be Rory McDonald and Carlos Condit  but I figure Condit will win.

That card does not deserve its own PPV whatsoever, and shame on UFC for scheduling a show every month whether they can fill it or not.

I pay for them and invite friends over when the card is great like UFC 111 with St Pierre vs Hardy and Mir vs Carwin, but 115 is a joke.  An over-the-hill dancer fighter vs a guy who lost to Vitor Belfort (who himself hasn't been good in a decade).

And Mirco Crocop as the second "best" fight.  Three losses in a row in UFC to anyone I've heard of.

I'm not knocking UFC as a whole, and in fact I love it when it's done right.  My favourite sport, actually.  I just can't stand cards like this one that dilute the sport.  The top fights on UFC 115 should just barely make the main card and possibly be the pre-PPV fights on Spike.

I think that is the last fight we'll see Chuck Liddell in.

Having said that...in his prime, he was one of the BEST fighters in the UFC and the world.

Not a bad UFC...not stellar either.

I liked the Cro Cop/Barry fight.  Sometimes the ground stuff gets *yawn* to watch.  I like to see guys trade like that.

Peta    you could not of been more wrong...I half felt the same way but having watched a few Spike undercard fights and all five PPV main card fights I can say that 115 definately deserved to be one event.  In fact I liked tonight more than any event i've seen in awhile.  All 5 main PPV card fights were phenominal. A big change from 114, and 113.

Seriously ? A card with Rothwell, sorry.... You said Rothwell was in a phenomenal fight?

I ordinarily only care to se 1 or 2 fights per "Fight Night" Last night was just to Liddel in what might be one of lasts. I agree with Peta, quality not quantity. Rampage and Rashad was like 2 weeks ago...3 before that I think it was I had watch Rothwell fall asleep on his opponent.

Just my take.

i never said it was a card full of big names.....but it was a very very good set of fights

That part is impossible to know going into it.

You can not load a card knowing how good action-wise the fights will be, but you can load the card with big names, title fights, and interesting match ups.  Franklin/Lidell is only an interesting match up because they're both has-beens.  Another interesting match up would be something like the upcoming Nelson vs Dos Santos.

UFC 111 had St Pierre vs Hardy for the belt and Mir vs Carwin to see who would fight Lesnar.  There's no way you can state that Lidell/Franklin can compare to that because it can't carry a card by itself.

I'm not disputing that the fights may have been good, but for $60 I expect title fights, too.

Point taken, either way if I saw the same match ups a second time as rematches I would now pay even more than the first time because of the more recent performance.

Yes I've heard that quite a bit from 115, but of course there's no way to know that all of the fights are going to be good or bad (or if Herb Dean will call them way too early, which luckily hasn't happened lately).

I would still rather pay my money for big names and hope they're good fights than average (nowadays) fighters and hope they're good fights.
