Haitian gangs have reached out to El Salvador via the UN asking for mediation.

A Haitian gang leader wanted by the United States has asked the UN to mediate, as El Salvador sends more than 2,000 troops into the country to search for four of its soldiers who went missing after a gang ambush.

Some Reports coming in that El Salvadoran Commandos are already conducting Direct Actions against gang leadership and there is video footage of El Salvadoran troops patrolling Port-au-Prince.

Therein lies another problem - who governs? My guess is that there are so many rivalries it would be tough to name someone who could unite the nation.
