People get really worried when you talk about 3D printed guns....here's a really good use for a 3D printed gun.

Local Reserve Unit has a historical Vickers gun that they had displayed in unit lines, which had to be secured due to break in attempts.

They will be receiving this replacement 3D printed Vickers in the new year at some point as the consequence of loss for a 3D printed shape is much lower.

It's actually designed as a host body for an airsoft mechanism so that theoretically, it could fire 6mm plastic BBs.

Merry Christmas!

TEME is a reserve unit ? ;)

Joshing ya ;)

Very cool buddy! What does something like that cost to make ?

Looks good. My only concern would be it floats very close to the replica firearm description which is a prohibited device.

It used to under the old laws that it was not a replica if it could fire some sort of projectile, not sure if that still holds true?

You need a manufacturers license to make firearms today so that’s another area which you can get nailed on.

Thinking about it a bit this isn’t a replica firearm though, it is a stock for a firearm, just a non-conventionally shaped one. Still flirting close to the line on our unclear laws.

Which is why, when the time comes to give it to the Reserve Unit, I'm going to be presenting it to the guy in the unit who is actually a police officer....let him figure out that legalese....LOL
