Hi,

Are you sure the date was 17 Mar 65? I was able to find this site below which lists a H47 crash at Fort Ruckers Alabama which resulted in 3 deaths that occured on the 19 March 1965 (2 pilots and the CE). They do not give the names or the particulars of the pilots however.

but thanks for suggestion and referral web page.

Specific request from friend John stuart who is helping coordinate Book 7 of Book of Rememberance is "

His friends remember his death as -for sure - that date as it was St Patrick's Day! I sent you one e-mail that you had copied to me and below is the txt that I > sent before.  I obtained my pers files under access to information and > found > that any reference to anyone else has been removed.  Privacy rules.  The
> RCASC List that I have that gave service numbers only goes back to 1966
> and > Shaw died in 1965 so that wasn't much help.  Thanks for your efforts. The
> US > Army may have a service number and that is all I need
