Hello once again, Army.ca members. I've looked around but cannot find any information or insight on the forums;

I've had a bit of a rocky military career, I was unsure if it was for me to start, I have a year in and succesfuly completed BMQ and POET (I'm an LCIS tech). The training in Kingston was friggin HARD, but I did it. Pretty much at the start though, after finding out what my trade was, I really wanted out. I was told to just complete my training, and talk about it after.

So now I'm here in Borden, still unsatisfied with my career choice, and don't know what to do. I hear that VRing is extremely difficult to do now that I've completed a training phase. The staff here just throw paper work out the window any way it seems. There are a variety of reasons I'd like to get out, but I don't even know who to talk to here in Borden.

Is there something I can read, or have some advise from senior members? It's a hard decision, but right now in my life - I don't think the military is for me :(

Thanks in advance,

Shoto

First off, I can guarantee that the staff is not "throwing the paperwork out the window".  If you really that unhappy with your trade choice or the military in general, then your best option is to request an interview with the BPSO to discuss your options.  Also, the only person that is going to look after you is you.  So make sure your supervisors know that you really want to see the BPSO and keep politely inquiring on the status of your request on a regular basis.  Just an FYI, if you do eventually decide to put in your release it could take up to 6 months for it to be finalized.
