VOT process

Hello everyone, been a while since I've posted, finally made it out of the shacks, most of sanity still intact haha Anyways.

Currently awaiting a VOT but have to wait for the next CANFORGEN to drop, any idea when it'll be coming down the pipeline? I heard anywhere from June to August, until then I'm perpetually stuck writing course deferral memos as I don't want the current trade I'm slotted for, and I've been granted one so far which has worked out for me.

I'm in a rare OJT situation for the last year or so where even though im untrained I'm doing a good enough job where I get weekly feedback notes, well liked by the immediate upper COC, and so on which I'm hoping will benefit me later in my career, advanced promotion etc and immediate benefits of not being grouped into having a shitpump BTL Status as well.

Anyways ATIS Tech is what I'm striving for I'm currently half way through the PIPs but I'm also hearing word of 80 percent manning in the trade now which I'm not sure what that will mean IF this VOT process pulls through for me and I don't get shoved down the wrong pipeline.

it's a long way to ask a couple questions I guess but:

1. When will the next canforgen drop for VOT
2. Whats my chances of actually getting the ATIS Tech trade.
3. Any advice from anyone who's been in a similar spot like myself, awaiting VOT and trying to stay off another course you don't want to do?

2. Whats my chances of actually getting the ATIS Tech trade.
How did you score on the CFAT? How were your academics before hand?

I don't know if ATIS Techs still do POET. If they do, the powers that be might be picky about who they choose. There are only so many spots on course. So before filling one of those seats trades want to be reasonably assured that the pers they are sending on it can pass.

If you really want to get picked up by the ATIS trade it may be worth you while to look into academic upgrading on your own time.

Academics are fine multiple college diplomas, software engineering etc but cfat doesn't matter anymore they have the expedited application process now so cfat score doesn't matter for over 50 trades ATIS included, people are currently failing miserably at POET because of it lol PRBs galore also "best for fit the trade" is a extremely loose term I've seen some fucking moron humans get through lol

Make sure that stuff is on your MPRR. That way when the board looks at files they can make the assessment that you will likely pass the course and they will be more likely to extend you an offer. The recruiting centres have a lot of paper work to do for each person and some time prior education isn't properly captured. This is especially true if you were originally enrolled as a trade that didn't "need" that education.

The board doesn't know you. They are just going to be looking at a stack of files that want to be ATIS techs. If you can stand out, that will help you.

Yeah I'm not sure how to update my MPRR but thinking about it, it's probably an OR thing right ? Currently have my software engineering on file and Highschool diploma etc.

I wonder does the board consider feedback notes or is it all just based on MPRR? and I got enrolled in my current trade because the recruiter seen computers on my education basically and was like yup your being an IS Tech even though ATIS was my first choice lol
