Hello everyone,

I applied for LCIS technician (Regular Forces, NCM) a week or two ago and just did CFAT on Monday. They told me that I passed the test and qualified for my trade, and that they needed to do my background check and that they would call me when it was done. LCIS technician has open positions according to the Sargent at the recruiting centre. I am still waiting to do the medical exam and have an interview. I know that National Defence has called one of my references at least, if that helps any.

I have the following questions.

i > Given that there are open positions in my trade, I there any chance I will have to wait until April.

ii >  I know you get this a lot but approximately how long will I have to wait until i can start BMQ.

iii > Is it weird that I don't have a medical exam booked yet? I see that a lot of people do it on the same day as CFAT (or is that only for the reserves?)

iv > Is my trade (LCIS Technician) In high demand?

Thank you for your time and help.

Yes.

Answers for everything else will require a Mk.1 Crystal Ball.  ;)
