im looking for 2 large ammo boxes. the 50 cal style.

not these, i already have a few.

im looking to make saddle boxes out of them for my motorcycle.

Those are .50 cal boxes, at least in Canada.  M2A1s.

Do you mean the one with the same length and width but around twice as deep?  If so, good luck, the only time the CF sees those is with some trial ammo.  The US issue them regularly though.  Some of their .50 cal and mortars come in them.

i mean the ones that are about the same width, a little deeper and longer.

prehaps they are just us boxes.

Ah, I believe you are talking about the C42.  It is used with 5.56mm Blank Link.  Go from there.
