Warhawk Comes to Life

Well, wow.

Legalities - those are 6x live 0.50 Caliber machine guns, restricted in the USA under the NFA of 1934 for individual purchase or sale.

They'd need to register them, and the purchase would be subject to approval by their local Chief of Police on their Form 4 (I think it is).

Alternatively, they could be setup as a business under a "SOT" Special Occupation Taxpayer - and they'd be subject to a bunch of ATF inspection/regulation.

I suspect it's setup as a business rather than individual.

Then there's the whole 'mount them on an airplane and shoot them' part.

On the ground, I think that'd be fine, so long as they're at a shooting range of some sort, or in a spot that they can legally fire the guns.

Flying with the guns would step into the world of FAA approvals, and I would imagine that there were a LOT of those to jump through.

Hats off to them for doing this. I'm impressed that their drone in the target area survived undamaged.
