Hello everyone...

I'm currently applying for my local reserve regiment and they've told me that the basic training will be on weekends starting in the fall.  Does anyone out there have a rough idea of what times I would need to arrive on the Friday and what time I'd be released on the Sunday?  I'm just planning things out with my civy job and it looks as though I'll need to work either a Friday morning or a Sunday night.  Just seeing what might be easier.

My regiment trains out of Kingston if that helps!

Cheers!

Usually, you will have to be there at 1900h on friday, and you may leave as early as 1400h but they can keep you till 0000h.. it all depends.

Well from the BMQs I taught on, you're on the go from friday night until usually dinner time on sunday & I would HIGHLY recommend that you do not do a sunday night shift because I can guarantee that you'll be WAY too tired to work (I've tried & just wasn't working for me).  You should be ok for the friday, & as da_man said, 1900hrs is the usual arrival time for friday night.
