Would a sail like OP Metric or OP Caribbe entitle you to more pay while doing that sail?
Thanks

I am sure some here will have more in depth answers but Hazardous Duty Allowance is exactly as the name implies. To my knowledge, OP CARIBE is not eligible whereas OP METRIC was is (sorry REG). Levels of HDA are determined by the level of the hazard and the time an individual has spent in an HDA.
As I said, I am sure there is more answrs coming but I have to say, if you are in this purely for the $$$, I am a tad concerned. When screening sailors for AFG a few years back, one of the first questions I used to ask was why they wanted to go. If they said $$$, though the interview continued, my mind was made up...But then, that is just me.

Seriously?

In the past few months here at army.ca, you have, variously, claimed to have a drinking problem (which i am not making light of, by the way); wanted advice on another trade that doesn't sail so much and want advice about getting out of the CF to backpack Europe.

Now you apparently want to sail on an operational deployment for the extra money.

How do you figure that you will be found fit to deploy on an operation, given all the issues that you seem to have in your life?

Why the presumption on if I want to sail for $$$? That makes no sense.. I am asking a question because a friend has asked me. I'm actually in the Army.

My apologies for being confused.

09 September, you posted here that you were an OS on board a ship, who was having difficulty finding time to do PT.

12 days later, you are in the Army.  ::)

Strange.....

I'm currently in the navy and I thought I'd love sailing and so forth.. until after a year of doing it I'm tired of leaving home and my family. Is there a element and trade that doesn't have to travel away from home and is just a normal 8-5 job?
This is for NCM Reg Force.

Oh, are you ?

I'm going sailing next week then back for a week then I'm gone for approx 3 months, I don't know if I can wait that long to seek help.
Is the stad hospital open during weekends?

I am an OS NCM so I don't get free time on the ship hence I'm asking this.

I'd like an electrical trade where you don't have to sail 6 months out of the year......

I'm currently in the navy

being in the navy for a year and a half.

$1 beers and free liquor at foreign ports is hard to resist

Sailing isn't my thing and cannot do another 20 years of it.

I have signed with the forces as a NCM Navy Electrician

Well given the fact you have said you were in the Navy and now say you are in the Army once can be led to believe you are neither. Your access here will be restricted until you come clean.
