What do they do at home?

Quick question - I have done quite a bit of searching for this, but haven't been able to find anything. What do the combat arms NCMs (inf, arty, combat eng, armoured) do while not stationed overseas/in the field? Besides training, what does the job of a combat arms NCM entail while not in combat?
