By Eric Lam, Financial Post May 4, 2010

TORONTO -- Aviation services company CAE said Tuesday it has been awarded a trio of military contracts, including one with the Canadian Department of National Defence, worth a combined $50-million.

The contracts, which are also with the German Army Aviation School and the Netherlands Ministry of Defence, will see CAE provide various maintenance and training support services.

"CAE has always maintained a significant presence in Europe," Martin Gagne, CAE group president of military products, training and services, said in a release.

The agreement with the DND however, is a two-year extension to continue an integrated learning environment program.

CAE, based in Montreal, provides simulation and modelling technologies and integrated training solutions in both the civil and military aviation industries.
