When would be a good time to apply?

Hello everyone,

So, here's my situation: I'm a 3rd year science student at university, thinking of joining the army after I graduate next year. I would be interested in applying for direct-entry to the pilot training program and was wondering when would be the best time to do it? If I were to apply now, will I have to keep up and send them my transcripts next year? The reason I'm asking is because I only recently got my Canadian citizenship (I'm French and moved to Canada only 6 years ago). I was told that background checks were going to take a few months.

Also, what are you thoughts on the competitiveness of the program?

Thank you for you time!

I was in a similar situation to you and here is what I had to do. First off, they will only accept your application for officer if you are enrolled in your last semester of school. I had to get a document from my registrar stating that I was scheduled to graduate in April of 2013 even though I applied in January 2013. If I were you I would apply as soon as possible, especially in your situation where you came from another country.

Thanks for your response and advice!

If I apply now, though, will they still keep the documents I send them until they fully consider my application next January my last semester)? I'm guessing that I'd still be required to update my transcript. Also, if I understand, you suggest I apply ASAP for logistics/legal documents to arrive and be processed on time for my last semester right?
