I was in the reserves 11 years ago and did my QL2 at jerico detachment. All the people joining the reserves regardles of unit went through basic here we also went chilliwack to do our field training. The PPCLI was based there at the time if I remember correctly. Were does training take place now and is chilliwack still have the ranges and training center? Also do you still do QL3 or whatever it is called now at the PPCLI battle school wainwright

Chiliwack was closed down years ago....

From what I understand, it still serves as an Area Support Unit; it has a rifle range, it apparently runs some reserve BMQ; for the most part, they are beginning to convert the infrastructure to civilian use.  Last I heard, there was something about a community centre being put into the main administration building.

Anyone in the know have more info?

I finished BMQ there a couple weeks ago.

The RCMP owns part of it now, and we used their classrooms, and their eating area.  Besides from BMQ , SQ is also run there, and something to do with those drunk medics( no offence if I could have ,  i would have joined them :P). Rifle range is still in use, and the grenade range.  BIQ (QL3) is done in wainwright, but i have read about weekend infantry quals courses, so they might be done somewhere locally on weekends.
