I'm not sure if this is funny or scary. Definitely a tribute to the success of the new kindler gentler public education system though.

On the other hand if they ever do try and invade here, odds are they'll end up at the other end of the world.

Well....that was scary to say the least, apparently, Australia is also where North Korea and Iran are..........   :o

Either way it was hilarious to say the least but at the same time it was a little scary. Wow.

Ummm what was your point about the US, because I don't think a few people in some edited clips are representative of the whole U.S.

Holy Cow! The U.S. may want to spend some more money on education and less on world domination. What the gov. should do is ask McDonald's to start printing maps on it's packaging.

Haha, why does everyone think Australia is Cuba, France, North Korea, etc  The person that thought North Korea was  Australia, where did they think South Korea is?  Wow.. just.. wow.

We should invade Italy.. .. Brazil... Canada...  ???  ::)

It could be because they were literate.   Did you notice that on one map Australia was labeled "IRAN" and on the other it was labeled "North Korea / South Korea"?   Obviously they had maps produced to deal with several expected replies to test the 'victims' of this joke on their Geography knowledge.

Oh, well I didn't see that, but still, not really an excuse for them to be way off on where those countries actually were.

Dont think for one second that you cant find this level of ignorance here in Canada. I have met people that had no idea that PEI, and Newfoundland were two completely different provinces, nor did they know the outcome of the Second World War. I even know one person who thought Afghanistan was in South America, most of these people are also members of the CF by the way.

Well, if you think Iran or NK is somehow in the South Pacific, you're really stretching the definition of the term "literate".

most of these people are also members of the CF by the way.

And that is why I don't discuss current events at work.  :)

Yea, you can find dummies everywhere. Pretty bad though when people don't know who won WWII, if you don't see SS soldats marching around an German flags everywhere, I think its easy to see who won. Plus you learn this stuff in High School.

Also, you mean Afghanistan really isn't in South America, I'll be damned....    :D

How am I stretching the term "literate"?   They proved that they could read by putting the little push pin on the country labeled as "IRAN".   So it was really Australia.   They obviously can read.   Now, "Stupid" is another story.   Two different qualities.     ::)

;D

Now we know how all those books  "___________ for DUMMIES" came to be published in the States...  ;D

oh come on, I like to think "literate" means more than being able to read a few short words and write your own name.....
