I know I won't make it for the summer training because

1) The date is far to late to apply for a summer postion in BMQ
2) I havn't reached my goal of physical fitness I would like to be in.

My question is when should I go and apply for the winter BMQ in St. Jean? Should I apply now even though I havn't reached my goal? Or should I just wait untill summer comes around again to train in the nice toasty weather?

By the way my goal is to be able to do 60 push ups, 60 sit ups, run 8 KM. I plan to reach it by late August.

If you are applying Reg Force APPLY NOW!

Your processing may be done in as little as 6-8 weeks but you may not receive a job offer for a very long time. You can always update your physical a month or two after your original one if your scores improve that much.

The Reg. forces is what my heart is set on. Thanks for the advice I'll be heding the the recurit office tomorrow. :) ;)

The way the reg and res recruiting threads are mixed in here its confusing.

Regular Force BMQ goes on year round, as soon as your processing is finished for regular force, you'll be "Merrit Listed". Depending on how you did on your CFAT, interview, and physical your "Merrit Score" will be higher. The higher your score, the better your chances of being hired. Depending on which trade you're applying to, and how many spots are available in that trade, you'll get a call once your name reaches the top of the merrit list. This could be a few weeks, a few months, or for many its a year or more. It depends on your luck (as to when you finish your application and when they start hiring for your trade) as well as your scores.

If its something you're set on doing, definitely get down to the recruiting office tomorrow.. the sooner you start the process the sooner you will be at BMQ.
