Women's Rugby World Cup

Great game! My limited knowledge of rugby means that I think the Roses packed more brawn than the Leafs!
(and I don’t mean the Toronto Maple Leafs, I would never tar the women with THAT bad brush)


Finally isn’t it about time Canada ups it national teams logo game? Ours looks extremely plain compared to other countries.

I think ours is more effective, particularly for a team like Canada that is new to most. Simple is good, and few things look more "Canada" than a giant red maple leaf.

That out team made it to the finals was a major accomplishment. I hope our men's side learns some lessons and steps up as well. The ladies of Rugby Canada have been awesome for years, and I'm glad I had the chance to watch them when I lived in Esquimalt.

I can understand that. But my personal opinion is that all of our national sports logos need to have a little more “flair”. Maybe a more realistic looking leaf vice the strait geometric one?

Once again congratulations to the ladies leading the way!

57-0 Loss for our CAF ladies.

Only 17 - 0 in the second half.

Not terrible for a team that only met 8 days ago. Had varying levels of experience from 0 - Semi National, and went up against the UK Army who has Tongan and English (7s) internationals in its ranks.

I think we successfully created a program and I am looking forward to seeing where we go.

Super proud of these women!

I have realised that I played the Tars Old Boys in 2001 as Skipper of the Chambrays, the CFC Team. It was our first real game, and our #12 or 13 broke his jaw. He went on to be ADM (PA) and Commissioner of the Coast Guard.

Where you all practicing at RMC the other day? I was getting my haircut and saw what looked like a rugby practice.
