EDMONTON - A construction worker has died on a project at CFB Edmonton, Alberta Employment and Immigration says.

The man fell from a ladder at about 12:45 p.m. Friday, department spokeswoman Tracy Kipta said.

He suffered a serious head injury during the fall, she said.

Medics rushed him to hospital where he died Friday evening.

The fall is being investigated.

EDMONTON — An Alberta man is dead after falling off a ladder while doing construction work at CFB Edmonton Friday afternoon.

The man was doing construction work on a building at the Edmonton military base when he fell and sustained a serious head injury around 12:45 p.m. Friday, Alberta Employment and Immigration spokeswoman Tracey Kipta said.

He was taken to an Edmonton hospital, where he died later that evening.

The man was an employee of WD Contractors Group Ltd, which had been contracted to do some construction work at the base.

The Edmonton-based company specializes in indoor and outdoor building renovations.

The man’s identity has not been released.
