WoundStat has apparently beaten out QC and Hemcon in clinical trials.

U.S. Army Study Reports WoundStat™ is Most Effective
WoundStat™ Tops All Others in Stopping Deadly High-Pressure Bleeding

BETHESDA, MD (March 11, 2008)—The U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (ISR), the world’s premier ballistic injury research facility, today issued the results of a study showing that TraumaCure’s ground-breaking WoundStat™ is the most effective wound treatment available to stop severe bleeding—the number one cause of death for soldiers in battle. Only WoundStat™ was 100 percent effective at stopping high-pressure arterial bleeding in severe wounds.

In the most rigorous comparative study to date, the ISR tested all leading products available today in what experts consider the gold-standard model for evaluating such products. Not only was WoundStat™ the only product resulting in 100 percent survival and achieving 100 percent hemostasis among animal test subjects, it also had the lowest blood loss, ultimately leaving the study subjects in the best possible clinical state, post-treatment.

We should see it in Canada in a couple years.

Interesting.

We had Hemcons in Iraq, they were everywhere.

Ya, and at $100US a pop, but thats what the Australian governemtn paid for them, they may be worth more, or less in the real world.

It is at clinical review right now and expected to be available prior to the next ROTO in Sept for use.

Take if for what it is worth, but we have been giving a brief on Woundstat all week on the TMST CRFA.  No demo as we don't actually have any on hand yet.
