Shaping up different, I didn't have the unholy union of Mark Carney and Doug Ford on my bingo card but here we are with Ford praising Carney for his economic portfolio and experience. that's a relationship that could hurt the CPC long term
Strange times indeed.

So excuse my ignorance but how can someone be PM without being a member of Parliament? Is this the first time this has happened in Canadian history?

To me this is almost a Elon Musk situation, literally unelected by the public (winning a party election isn’t the same as winning a general election), yet is going to play a large part in government.

It's not. It's pretty common in parliamentary systems. Convention dictates he runs in a by-election ASAP but something tells me a general election may happen before then.

Makenzie King
John Turner
Andrew Furey
Danielle Smith

All leaders without seats when they took over as pm or premier.

A small cabinet for a caretaker government to see us through to the soon to be called election is one thing. Let's see how big the cabinet is IF they manage to get re-elected.

Hopefully PP will work with a reduced cabinet as well (and actually give them some power...and responsibility).
Given how PP runs his party, I suspect that power in the PMO will be very centralized.

From one poll to another in just eight days Leger has it going from a 13 point CPC lead to a dead tie? WTF?

Can’t control the fact that most Ontario and eastern Canadians voting intentions are best summarized by an elementary school class president promising endless free pizza parties if elected.

I'll vote Liberal forever thanks to all the cash I'm swimming in from that GST holiday, plus the incredible revenue we've all received from legalized marijuana. I don't want this gravy train to ever end.
