Qatar had been trying to sell off a luxury jet for years, with no luck. Then President Trump’s team set its sights on it.

President Trump wanted a quick solution to his Air Force One problem. The United States signed a 3.9 billion contract (bottom) with Boeing in 2018 for two jets to be used as Air Force One, but a series of delays had slowed the work far past the 2024 delivery deadline, possibly beyond Mr. Trump’s second term.

Now Mr. Trump had to fly around in the same old planes that transported President George H.W. Bush 35 years ago. It wasn’t just a vanity project. Those planes, which are no longer in production, require extensive servicing and frequent repairs, and officials from both parties, reaching back a decade or more, had been pressing for replacements.

WASHINGTON (AFNS) -- The U.S. Air Force awarded a contract to The Boeing Company to design, modify, test, certify and deliver two presidential, mission-ready aircraft by 2024.

This contract action formalizes President Trump’s agreement reached with Dennis Muilenburg, Boeing chairman, president, and CEO, Feb. 20, 2018. This sets $3.9 billion as the price for the two completed Air Force One replacement aircraft, saving the taxpayers over $1.4 billion.

This contract modification is firm fixed-price and contains over-and-above provisions to address both presidential quality items, or additional test effort induced by the government above the planned program baseline.

The Air Force looks forward to partnering with Boeing on the VC-25B program to deliver the next Air Force One fleet by 2024.

That’s a really frightening job for the office holder to be inept at. The U.S. is bitching at Canada about threats to their national security but then they appoint that individual to DHS? Why should we take their security seriously if they clearly don’t?

I think she said what she said on purpose. Knowing this video would go viral, and re-define Habeas Corpus to the general public, and muddy the waters even more on what authority the US President DJT has.

U.S. President Donald Trump has used a claim that Tren de Aragua is co-ordinating its U.S. activities with the Venezuelan government of President Nicolas Maduro to invoke the Alien Enemies Act to justify deportations of alleged gang members to a maximum-security prison in El Salvador. Some legal scholars have argued invoking the act requires a connection to a foreign government.
