High Ranking Police Folk Allegedly Behaving Badly

In a normal world the conviction would likely cost the agent his job, but with ICE and this Administration, who knows.
This was an appeal. He was sentenced to two years’ probation not long after the conviction. No idea about what ICE does in terms of conduct proceedings or if he kept his job.

A familiar book comes to mind ;)

“Comrades!' he cried. 'You do not imagine, I hope, that we pigs are doing this in a spirit of selfishness and privilege? Many of us actually dislike milk and apples. I dislike them myself. Our sole object in taking these things is to preserve our health. Milk and apples (this has been proved by Science, comrades) contain substances absolutely necessary to the well-being of a pig. We pigs are brainworkers. The whole management and organisation of this farm depend on us. Day and night we are watching over your welfare. It is for your sake that we drink the milk and eat those apples.”

Victoria police spent $22K on party for outgoing, incoming chiefs

Police board chair says event was one-time expense to celebrate VicPD's first female chief

Ridiculous.

The previous Chief was sworn in at his old high school, and the one before him was sworn in at the local hockey arena (a City facility). Just enough coverage to be respectful, costs minimal.

This might not look great as they go to the Board for more cash for next year.

Oh well, at least everyone knows the new Chief now! ;)

You'd think so...

We had an RCMP officer here in Alberta that was charged & convicted of attempting to lure a minor online - he kept his job

In BC, an RCMP officer passed out while drunk, in a marked RCMP vehicle, in a drive through... - and kept his job

Before stupid people & corruption were in charge of everything, your statement would most likely hold true.

But decisions to keep people like that employed (in a position of trust, go figure) aren't a thing just with the administration down south...

(Keeping him employed will be the decision of ICE, not with Trump's cabinet - but I get where ur coming from)
