Carney doesn’t need to find 3 votes, he simply needs 3 MP’s on the other side to be out ‘sick’ or whatever.
Looks like a game of chicken is happening.

Agreed but also, its almost double jeopardy for Pierre Poilievre. Force a another election, and if he loses it, I dont see any way he could stay on as leader in January. Thats gotta be something playing out in his mind. The NDP have no leader and more than likely 0$ in the pot. They will struggle mightily to field a substantial number of candidates
Huh. I didn’t think of that, but it’s a valid point. On the plus side, it would be an efficient twofer- a single leadership review for two lost elections.Agreed but also, its almost double jeopardy for Pierre Poilievre. The last time the Liberals promised to keep the deficit to $40 billion and unabashedly dropped a $62 billion stink bomb.I know some people are chomping at the bit for an election, but I think the snap back against NDP and PC would be signficant. There is also the Bloc, but doubt they would face any political backlash from their constituents.
With all the large projects they are looking at in different regions, including CPC strongholds I think they will find the 3 votes relatively easily.
On the flip side of that coin, can canadians afford massive cuts to programs and services? Where do you strike the balance given the state of the economyForget about the CPC and NDP coffers, can Canadians afford that?
If an election would occur, it would fall when? Just before Christmas or between Christmas and New YearsThe last time the Liberals promised to keep the deficit to $40 billion and unabashedly dropped a $62 billion stink bomb.
The projected deficit next year is $75 billion. So maybe 90 or 100?
