Police Folk Allegedly Behaving Badly

Department of Homeland Decurity has a few different classifications of officers. Some are easier to hire than others. Of late, there has been a lot of low quality hiring for Immigrations and Customs Enforcement, as Enforcement and Removal Operations officers. I’m hearing through police only sources they that’s what this guy was. Maybe he’s new, maybe he just sucks.
I've heard that the training some of the new ICE officers get is pretty rudimentary.
My reaction is from the three videos I’ve seen. Formal investigation of this, the potential criminal and definite civil proceedings in court will ultimately reveal much more.
We Canadians don't have the tactical and situational insight that POTUS47 does so maybe we should just let the grown up determine what awards that ICE officer will receive. (still need that sarcasm emoji)

I’ve provided a few opinions on incidents where police have shot into cars. The general community consensus is you can claim your life is in endanger if you use the time to get out of the way. If you’re shooting, even while moving, you’re not really going to be able to make that claim.

Just watched Noem in a news conference….she just repeated the same lies and trigger words that Trump used and we expect.

In many states in the US, hairdressers need more training and experience than police do.

At about 3.13 you'll see an ICE agent shooting the driver, and in no way does it look justified IMHO...

You’ll also get a nice clear view of the agent that Trump claims was the target of the car calmly walking towards the car after he shot the driver. There is another video of him calmly walking back to his own car later while re-adjusting his mask. So much for being “violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer,” as Trump and Noem claim.

Mother of 3, her partner (wife?) was the passenger.

Mother identifies woman shot and killed by ICE agent in Minneapolis

The ICE agents were also pursued and pelted with ice and snowballs by a pretty big crowd after.

Good is a registered voter but her party affiliation is not listed in public records.
What a dumb ass piece of information to give a shit about.

Looks like the locals were pretty pissed off and started pelting the police with snow balls - probably lucky no one else was shot.

I am wondering if this will be the spark, much like the Rodney King beating or the George Floyd killing for massive civil unrest.

The shot placement shown here suggests to me the SUV was well into it's turn when the shooter fired - if this was the shot that struck the woman. Odd angle. The article says she was shot 3 times in the face. If that's true then the shooter might have shot her twice through the driver side window as she passed.

I'm really shocked more people haven't went after ICE agents with targeted violence.

@Booter am I out to lunch with comments about the windshield?

Just watched an interview with the local PD Chief…….he was pretty angry about this shooting and not at all happy with ICE. As for the people throwing snowballs at the local police officers….not smart since local LE was not involved with the shooting but people are angry, frightened and frustrated so sort of understandable.

As a couple jabronis on the internet talking about some twitter videos and that photo I think you’re close for sure. I tried frame by framing the shots and the sound and I think you’re definitely tracking. I would spitball just off the drivers side front bumper on the side for the glass. But that’s just guys talking. Glass is always a lottery. You could strike it almost dead on and the exit will behave weird. But less so on “far side glass” from the shooter. 🤷‍♀️

Speculation and conversation inbound…The next anticipated thing you’ll hear is “there was an officer on the other side of the car and I was worried they were in danger” but then you’re firing rounds through the vehicle…

Let me be clear I am not encouraging violence.

It's only a matter of time, the powder keg has very much been primed. If not tonight it'll be real soon.

So I've just read that there are currently 2000 ICE deployed in Minneapolis, the PD consists of 600 uniformed officers and 300 civilian employees. No wonder people are angry, it must feel like an invasion.

There’s already very slow motion and frame by frame video out… he was basically right in front of the car at the start. She turned wheel hard left and reversed to back out as they approached the car and reached for her door handle. She stopped, wheel right and started moving forward- by this point he was basically in front of and just off the driver side bumper. Rather than side stepping when the car started moving he planted, drew, and fired.

I’ll be interested to see what their lawful authority was for ordering her to stop the car and trying to detain her in the first place. It will be super important to determine what lawful duty they were actually in the course of when they were trying to order her out of the car.

There is very slow motion video showing the agent clearing his weapon out of his holster….as she is reversing away from him
