Will this be the PM that finally does something about that national eyesore?

Depends on what he says. If he goes full retard like he did on the last podcast he was on it won’t help his still sinking numbers.
Appearing is not the issue. What he says might be.
Good for Pierre!! It shouldn't make anybody angry
He's a politician who, regardless of whether people ultimately vote for him or not, genuinely cares about the country & wants to see us start living up to our potential.
Getting his message out via Rogan was just smart.
...
People who won't vote for him won't vote for him anyway.
But for those who aren't pre-committed to a party and will vote for who they feel will do more good for the country as a whole - this might help move the needle a bit
Correction on my part. I meant the True North one. Mansbridge was fine,Mansbridge ?
All I have heard about that one is how he should have let that PP out during the campaign.

Those folks (and their ilk across the political spectrum) are trapped in a little box of their own making. This should make some folks angry
Over 1500 comments on reddit about it, most of them bitching and whining about it, and the podcast isn't even released yet. This should make some folks angry
are there no popular Canadian platforms to compare to Rogan in viewership amongst Canadians? Or are we just to boring?
Yes.
Do we have comparably popular podcasts to JRE ?
Yeah one poll under 30 percent now but all the others are close and trending down.
EKOS usually is on the high end for the LPC but given the historical norms of other polls the cpc is likely right at 30%Yeah one poll under 30 percent now but all the others are close and trending down.
I bet the moment he would step down that the polls would shoot up 5 or 10 pts

While it would be tough to blame Carney for calling one given current polling, so far we’ve yet to see signals than an election is in the cards.the calling of the three byelections reinforces that.I don't believe giving the LPC that kind of majority will be good for Canada, but I'm also battered and bruised from the last decade so my bias is admitted.
He should have stepped down a year ago. I simply cannot comprehend the level of hubris one needs to hang on, now. He has to see he is the problem.

I imagine all of the purely political types in his orbit are having aneurysms trying to convince him to do it.
why try and eat the whole cake when one slice is enough? if they just gotta win the by elections to get a majority, thats easier to focus resources then a national campaign. While it would be tough to blame Carney for calling one given current polling, so far we’ve yet to see signals than an election is in the cards.the calling of the three byelections reinforces that.

A zero to one seat margin isnMt a great position… A buffer of ten or twelve seats would probably feel better to him. But- as @Halifax Tar says, and I agree, I think he’s more focused on getting things done.why try and eat the whole cake when one slice is enough? if they just gotta win the by elections to get a majority, thats easier to focus resources then a national campaign.
That said I wouldn’t rule one out in the summer/fall timeframe, pre-budget.
