Question for any Navy Chiefs that are kicking about... is the Canex jacket authorized wear with Navy Whites?
Only information I have right now is that you can wear the Navy Gortex jacket with Navy Whites... but Gortex Jacket in the summer??

Everything I can find says no, but nothing is a Dess manual reference.

Suggest you contact the BCPO office at either Halifax or Esquimalt.

No no no, a thousand times no! They’re called Tropical White Longs (at least they were), emphasis on the word “Tropical”. If you feel the need to wear a jacket, then put on the black pants.

No doubting you at all, makes complete sense.

But do you have a ref ?

Not to pedantic, but dress of the day for Navy pers is ordered to be TWL's for this thing, Army / Air Force get to wear 3B's - if it starts pissing down rain - the Army and Air Force get to put on their Canex jackets and the Navy pers get soaking wet? Seems fair....

Not enough time to contact the BCPO out west; flying tomorrow - information has not exactly been the strong suit of this CFTPO Tasking

I've only worn TWL's a few times before in my career - all at inside recruiting events; wasn't concerned with the elements, LOL

Dress manual doesn't specifically exclude it. But that's the CAF, the RCN may say otherwise.
