What the heck kind of terror group is this anyway? One of the accused called police … lol.
Did he apologize for the ‘spot of bother’?What the heck kind of terror group is this anyway? One of the accused called police … lol.
From what I've read here and elsewhere, I'd day it's more likely that Benny Hill was involved.Iran's involvement suspected ... the 999 call from one of the gang suggests that someone might have figured it out before it was too late...
Iran WERE involved in RAF Fairford ‘terror plot’, suggests Burnham – as mystery grows around foiled ‘base attack’
PRIME Minister Andy Burnham has said there are “strong indications” Iran played a part in the alleged RAF Fairford terror plot as the mystery continues to grow.
His comments come as cops continue to investigate the bizarre series of events outside the Gloucestershire airbase, where five men were arrested in the early hours of Sunday.

This group of numbnuts might have hired by Iranian agents to test the waters before committing what scarce assets they have.Did he apologize for the ‘spot of bother’?
I don’t know what to say or think on this one anymore. I do truly trust that they believe - likely correctly - that they were on to something significantly threatening. But the way things went in terms of the arrests and things going public? Something’s super fucky. There are multiple plausible options at this point and I’m gonna wait and see.
Fast files are messy files. Sometimes a national security file brews up very fast indeed, and events outpace a lot of the routine, drudging, foundational investigative work that helps to confidently built context and meaning on the evidentiary framework, and which must still be painfully caught up on even after things go snakey. Given that it’s reasonable to believe something in this file blew up wildly in a way probably not planned or intended, I’m not surprised if the information coming out to we in the public remains confusing at this juncture. It seems they arrested 2 more today.
No wait, they arrested 1 and only talked to another.
No wait, they arrested a 27 year old and did not talk to another.
No wait, they arrested a suspect aged 25, not 27.
No wait, he’s an Iranian national.
Oh, our mistake the suspect is an Iranian-Uk national.
Bail now, please and thank you your Honour,
Yeah I wouldn’t put much stock in WarMonitor’s policy conclusions. If he’s right about something ‘big picture’, usually it’s a ‘stopped clock’ situation.Hard to blame them... not a great vote of confidence in UK security measures

US Air Force pulls B-1 bombers from RAF Fairford amid suspected terror plot probe
U.S. Air Force bombers were pulled out of RAF Fairford in England on Sunday as investigators look into a suspected terror plot targeting the base.
U.S. European Command confirmed the bombers were returning to their home stations in the United States but did not discuss specific threat information.
The New York Times, citing two anonymous U.S. officials, reported all 12 B-1 bombers were withdrawn rapidly after new warnings of a suspected Iran-backed plot. At least three B-1 bombers had arrived at their home base in South Dakota by Sunday, according to the Times.
RAF Fairford, about 100 miles west of London, has been used by U.S. bombers during the current war with Iran and in previous Middle East conflicts.
