B.C. Government (Conservative Majority), 2026-(NLT)2031

[Brad Sallows]

His victory speech was good, thanking Eby for his service and congratulating the new Green leader (Her speech was disgusting, being upset by the mere existence of the Conservatives)

As the saying goes, lefties aren't violent against righties because righties are evil; lefties call righties evil so lefties can justify violence against righties.

[FSTO]

Being a normie is what the electorate wants. I think we`ve had enough of the crazies for a while.
Lets hope Uncle Lorne will sideline the wingnuts.

[Cloud Cover]

Speaking of “normies”,

[YZT580]

I don't really resent the desire of progressives to do some income redistribution, but so much of what their other policies amount to limits the ability of the earners to earn. Sweden at least has shown the path for a swerve from too much socialism to a better balance with liberal economics, yet Canadian progressives seem unwilling to use it. I cannot conceive that they haven't noticed the example.

no one willingly concedes power in any organisation. They are forced to. So far progressives have been able to dodge the inevitable

There’ll always be wing nuts, Don. BC politics can be nonsensical, albeit never boring. We spent the 90s with the commies running the place, yet sent the fascists (Reform) to Ottawa.

Try and square that circle.

Lorne was very gracious in his acceptance speech. Eby looked like he was sucking on a wasp. Emily came across as a lunatic who could barely string a sentence together. Karmala North.

Who is Emily?

[Halifax Tar]

Who is Emily?

I think this is her:

You know, one of those tolerant lefties.

[RangerRay]

Who is Emily?

Emily Logan, leader of the BC Greens.

She was elected in my riding. If Mickey Mouse had been running for the Greens here he would have been elected. Hippies and draft dodgers. I mean seriously, Elizabeth May federally? Good thing the weather is great here.

[Good2Golf]

CTV just called a Conservative majority. Eby pulls off the biggest self-own in recent Canadian political history.

Now, for irony, watch Alberta flip NDP Provincially while BC is Conservative…

Danielle Smith: Here, hold my beer…

Elizabeth May is a magnificent supporter of the BC wine industry.

[Brad Sallows]

Islanders (Vancouver and Gulf) don't want their natural nirvana despoiled by industry and too many tourists (and, on some of the small islands, any more residents), but they want their ferry fares heavily subsidized.

IF Mickey was in charge it would be clean as fuck, crime free and the happiest fucking place on earth, and everything would be on time.
