Iran Super Thread- Merged

I don't see why it would be "bullshit".

If you are the government of country at war (say Iran, for instance ;)), why on earth would agree to a "request" by the other side to let them bomb a part of your country (any part, regardless of use) as a "one-off, non-retaliated" strike?

The opposite - agreeing to such a strike - would be the position that would strike (pun intended) me as odd.
I believe it’s bullshit that the U.S. asked for such a symbolic strike. It would be absurd to think Iran would agree, and embarrassing to have revealed if true.

I lean towards BS...

But I can also entertain the chance that the US actually did ask Iran so they could safely fly a C-130 into Iran to symbolically drop a GBU-43/B on pickaxe.

The Americans seem almost offended that the Iranians are shooting back?

"we only have to be lucky once, you have to be lucky always"

Seconds out...

Why a new round in the U.S.-Iran conflict could be the most devastating yet

Domestic politics appear poised to trigger a new phase of war with Iran

The warning signs are flashing red with indications that once the ballots are counted in the U.S. midterm elections, the United States and Israel will relaunch their war with Iran.

The next round of attacks could be more devastating than the first, warn analysts.

"A renewed war seems almost inevitable," said Danny Citrinowicz, an Israeli Middle East and Iran analyst whose earlier warnings and cautions about the risks of a direct conflict with Iran were largely borne out by events.
