India is also interesting, almost equally viewed as either.

Is anyone really surprised by these numbers? For most of the folks on the adversary list its reap what you sow.
Not perfect, but closer to the gold standard for sure.Be better if everything is tried in criminal courts rather than newspapers, although I suppose going forward the standard for all sex offences by all offenders could be, "drop all the allegations and personal history possible into the media, then go to court".
All he did was say the quiet part out loud. They're trying really hard to push this angle in preparation for next week.

EXCLUSIVE: Hoekstra tells closed-door meeting Canada could be blamed if U.S. midterms go against Trump

Pretty set for an increase in Dec before the year ends.Feds voted to hold rates steady (3.75-4%), but notably there where 2 dissents to hike them.
After the midterms?Pretty set for an increase in Dec before the year ends.
I spent some time working in the Pentagon, where I reported to the J5. The criticality of that role cannot be overstated. It seems that disagreements with Elbrige Colby USD Policy and #3 in the DOD are what led to the dismissal. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is the principal military advisor to the President of the United States, and the J5 is pivotal in developing that advice. Political appointees less so.An interesting choice, Hegseth has given the boot to the Pentagon's chief planner. He was appointed by Dan Caine himself after his predecessor was fired exactly 1 year ago today.

Watching TV series like The West Wing and The Diplomat, which portray the U.S. government as a principled force for good in the world, is like watching some Turtledove alternate-history horse opera. This government of ne'er-do-wells, bozos, grifters, and outright lunatics has taken the U.S. into a dark world.
One thing about the United (really?) States of America: they never do anything half-assed. It's balls to the wall, turn the amp to 11, Thelma and Louise off-the-cliff crazy!

Meanwhile Canada's growth will slow to 0.9% according to the PBO:
US economy grew at 3.4% annualized rate in 3rd quarter, government data shows
The United States economy expanded at an annualized rate of 3.4% over the three months ending in September, according to a government report released on Thursday.
Growth in the third quarter amounted to an acceleration from 2.2% annualized GDP growth in the previous quarter, U.S. Commerce Department data showed.
The performance in the third quarter also outpaced a 2.5% annualized rate recorded over the first three months of this year.
In response to rising prices, a key long-term Treasury rate has jumped in recent months as investors feared price increases would eat away at their returns. The rise in bond yields has pushed up rates for loans like credit cards and mortgages, threatening to worsen the financial crunch.
Still, the economy has proven resilient by some measures. Hiring has continued to grow, albeit at a slower pace, while unemployment has stayed at a low level by historical standards.
A surge in spending on artificial intelligence has helped boost the U.S. economy in recent quarters. Many of the nation's largest companies have poured funds into the chips and data centers necessary to operate AI.
