The RCAF's Next Generation Fighter (CF-188 Replacement)

....

APKWS II are knocking down drones from pickup trucks, helicopters, trainers and F16s. As well as from UAVs and CCAs.

Does every APKWS II carrier have to be a 5th Generation fighter?

What would a local air defence squadron look like? Griffons? Siskins (Pilatus)? Light Jet? Gripens? Predators? Valkyries?

Too many choices.

Why not deputize the Canadian Owners and Pilots Associations. There's a lot of Cessnas, Pipers and Beechcraft out there.

According to google roughly 1300.
How many of those are serviceable. How many of those are fully operational?
From what I can find on open source is 40ish % of F35s are currently operational. That means they fly and can fulfill a combat mission. Not necessarily all missions.

This is from General Accounting Office report. Note the source in small print at the bottom. The largest problem was parts availability. Those are pathetic numbers.

Please show similar serviceability charts for Gripens.
From what I read on public sources Gripen is in the 80+% serviceability rate.
South Africa's rate is very low. But that is across their entire air force due to budget.
Other fleets operators all keep their operations closely guarded.
