Can perm residents in Canada with US citizenship enlist (not joint citizenship)? Is it all branches or just some? Is it just reserves or can they go active too? Any first hand experiences and/or links/info?

Its pretty common for friends and family to be curious and have opinions and questions/concerns I think. I think it varies a lot on if you came from a non military background too. In some families, I'd say its almost EXPECTED to join. I come from more in the middle (lots of vets in the family...

I am curious about this too. Mine would have been PRE enlistment by a few years. If you enlist with college in CA do you get higher rank (if you go non comm)? I know in some forces they let you go in up to E-4 with it is why I ask that part. Anyone know?

I saw on one CA site that it was citizens only but I could have sworn I saw on another that PR were allowed to enlist. Is it reserves only? Does anyone know for sure (links maybe?)
