Past CIC Sea Cadet Officers Charged

Initally, less paperwork on the report of injury - however, the summary investigation to follow is much more paperwork.

    Lifeguard badge???

There is an Advanced FA badge, as well as Instructor, but they aren‘t listed in CATOs. I‘m sure it‘s something you could apply for exemption for, though. As for Lifeguard... might be one of those ‘had to do it through cadets‘ things. Example: Air Cadet Wings can only be worn by those who got...

    Forces ‘Fudging‘ Reserve Numbers

It‘s not always a change in government. It‘s a change in bureaucracy and systems that is the immediate need.

    Fat troops on the street....

Just a question here, Infanteer: I‘m not disagreeing that those who are not fit should not be let in. I do wonder, though, where the money is going to come from to implement your PT reviews? The logistics of it all - the infrastructure, the paperwork, the exemptions - cost a fortune. Somehow...

    Tag Stories

Maybe the CF would actually get a budget increase if they did tagging ;) Usman_Syed, by ‘tags‘ we mean little ‘I support Air/Army/Sea Cadets‘ tags that people can pin on their coat. They are sold by cadet units to raise awareness, and fundraise.

    60th Anniversary of D-Day

Do any of your units have plans for the 60th Anniversary of D-Day in June? Specifically, Calgary area? Cheers, -R.

    Tag Stories

Tagging is important. Unfortunately, some members of the public have very little idea what cadets is. We always have SNCOs and Officers on hand to take questions, and support the Jr mbrs. Sometimes it just takes a little education. You if wear enough pride, they can‘t get under your skin.

    Medical Services restructuring...

Interesting... Medical Command... it looks good on paper, but I have zero experience with it in reality. Hope they can work all the bugs out for you folks. :salute:

    time question, bad question, sorry

A ret‘d Sgt who works at my unit had a beard for the majority of his CF career. He still does. Bad skin; shaving irriates the heck out of it; especially when he was in Cyprus.

Army or Navy? - A Merged Thread

18 is the age of majority in this country, so he‘d still need parental consent unless he‘s been emancipated. -R.

Essentially, they want to make sure you don‘t skip payments, and that you haven‘t declared bankruptcy. I also think they look to see if you‘ve defaulted on any loans. Follow the banker‘s advice ;)

Enroll Permanent Resident / Naturalized Citizen

The army website is only going to give basic information. CFRC Montreal is likely giving you accurate information. To the best of my knowledge, a Landed Immigrant may apply for Reserve positions, and the CFRC must show that a Canadian Citizen is not being denied the opportunity. Good luck...

    time question, bad question, sorry

No goatee. CFP 265 (CF Dress Instructions) states that beards may be worn by all ranks that wear the naval uniform, infantry pioneer platoons, and adherents of the Sikh religion. There are also a handful of medical conditions that may allow you to wear a beard. But if you‘re doing chem...

Makes me so glad I‘m married - don‘t have to deal with that stuff anymore. Just the shotgun I have to buy when my first daughter is born.
