Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

This should make some folks angry
Good for Pierre!! It shouldn't make anybody angry

He's a politician who, regardless of whether people ultimately vote for him or not, genuinely cares about the country & wants to see us start living up to our potential.

Getting his message out via Rogan was just smart.

...

People who won't vote for him won't vote for him anyway.

But for those who aren't pre-committed to a party and will vote for who they feel will do more good for the country as a whole - this might help move the needle a bit

Depends on what he says. If he goes full retard like he did on the last podcast he was on it won’t help his still sinking numbers.

Appearing is not the issue. What he says might be.
And to be frank, talk is no longer the king-maker in this Parliament or against the current LPC.

Pierre Poilievre's words and soundbites ate away at the Trudeau Liberals, mostly because they too governed by feelings and soundbites that had little substance. It cost nothing and should have won him a majority.

The fact that PMMC and this brand of LPC has action (limited or otherwise) on most portfolios, talk is cheap. The CPC has offered very little except noise against the government, and its killing their polling numbers.

Carney actually seems to have a plan, along with a willingness to face challenges with critical thinking and flexibility; something Trudeau was incapable or unwilling to do. It seems Poilievre has a similar reluctance to changing his approach and its costing him polling percentages...along with seats.

He really should have done this 14 months ago.

Correction on my part. I meant the True North one. Mansbridge was fine,

You are forgiven my son :)

I am interested to see how this goes for PP. And while the howling online has already started, I do agree he really has a chance to show a different PP than we have mostly seen. Or he can sink into his comfort zone and echo chamber.

Those folks (and their ilk across the political spectrum) are trapped in a little box of their own making.

I want nothing more than viable options to govern in Canada, so that I can finally vote for someone, rather than against someone... An effective Opposition, and real choices will only make Canada stronger.

Good on him for leaning in to getting his message out

Over 1500 comments on reddit about it, most of them bitching and whining about it, and the podcast isn't even released yet.

If Carney showed up on there next what's the chances the same naysayers claim its a brilliant move by Carney. So in touch with today's generation. A real social media hound.

are there no popular Canadian platforms to compare to Rogan in viewership amongst Canadians? Or are we just to boring?

Do we have comparably popular podcasts to JRE ?

I tried looking for something on Apple Podcasts last night. It’s a terrible system to figure out, but I didn’t see anything. I think the most popular Canadian podcasts are CBC true crime shows. Other popular Canadian ones looked like they were CBC as well, like Quirks and Quarks, and Under the Influence.

Like I say though, it’s kind of clunky to figure out.

Yeah one poll under 30 percent now but all the others are close and trending down.

I bet the moment he would step down that the polls would shoot up 5 or 10 pts
EKOS usually is on the high end for the LPC but given the historical norms of other polls the cpc is likely right at 30%

I don't believe giving the LPC that kind of majority will be good for Canada, but I'm also battered and bruised from the last decade so my bias is admitted.

He should have stepped down a year ago. I simply cannot comprehend the level of hubris one needs to hang on, now. He has to see he is the problem.
