Agreed. Getting something like the Izumo would propel us back into the carrier business, give us a forward strike platform for whenever we get the F-35 and allow us to have a base ship for infantry assaults. The crew compliment beyond the embarked troops is only double a CPF.
Have people been having issues getting into the DND website dnd.ca? Every time I've tried for the last week or so, it takes forever to try to download something...and in the end, I get nothing.
Regardless of his original job, if the candidate is good in what he's elected to become, then it should be alright. Not every celebrity is going to be like Twumpy is now.
As for the idiot in SC that got nominated, I'm sure the good people in that state will make the right choice in...
Just saw this article at the DND website:

434 Squadron's coming back as a Test and Evaluation Squadron at Trenton.

Agreed. The gentleman wrote a pretty article, but the facts were wrong in several areas. Much that I've often liked EdC as a good way for the lower ranks to get a chance to vent on things, I honestly wish that a little more research was done.
And I just noticed that on the Remembrance Day pics that the commander of the Army is wearing the 1st Canadian Army patch on his left shoulder.
Okay...!
I'm not sure this is the right conversation to post this in, but I just noticed this when I went on Facebook: The people at the CADTC are now wearing what looks to me like the I Canadian Corps formation patch. Is that authorized?
Quick question: How does the Air Force decide which squadron is allowed to come back into active service again? Is there a set list or is it just random? 401 Squadron was always a reserve squadron based in the Montréal area; I'd suspect 416 or 441 would be brought back first.
