    Trump administration 2024-2028

So now the new establishment is going to gerrymander the shit out of the electoral colleges so that they can dictate who the next POTUS will be by unfairly stacking the deck in their favour? No one is draining the swamp my man, just changing it's colour while profiting off it's bloat in a...

It must be really inconvenient to try and run a fascists kleptocracy when people keep giving honest answers and assessments. My kingdom for some bootlicker sycophants I guess, can't have that getting in the way of the Narrative.

How are you supposed to tell the difference between unmarked ICE agents that won't identify themselves and armed vigilantes wearing fake police gear?

5 Canadian soldiers suspended after Nazi salute video emerges

Don't need to go to the Reserves, remember having to explain to an embarked Cmdre that was TG commander he didn't have the authority to strip someone of their substantive rank because they put in a cease training for the stoker qual needed to be CERA.

Demoted for what though? Demotion for court martial comes with a pay loss to whatever rank you were at. Demotion when you were advanced promoted but didn't complete the OJT or something also comes with a loss of pay as you don't qualify for it. They don't claw it back, but for pension...

Yeah, I may have messed that up, it varies by ship design for the reasons you mentioned, and sometimes it's kind of arbitrary, but 6 deck was the keel, so 7 deck would be the ocean. We use the RN convention, and also do the frame numbering from bow to stern, which is apparently different than...

There was a Burma Road sign on ATH, I think along 3 deck in the offshoot flats with all the PO cabins? Was easy to miss, but when I did my OJT 17ish years ago (holy crap) there was still a lot of stokers that grew up on the steamers working the 280s, so something that the significance faded over...

Not sure if it started as a joke, but the ship only has 6 decks (with 1 deck being the upper deck, and going down from there), so 7 deck would be the Ocean , about 30ish feet down I guess, so I suppose technically accurate. Bit of a spicy swim though with the pump suctions and propellors going...

But at least a silver lining that eventually we standardized our SOPs and added in a few LL, even if the BOIs and investigations have been made confidential or buried. The downside is that most people don't understand the 'why' behind the SOPs or tactics, and overtime they get rid of things...

Some of my favourite routes popped up behind the bridge and usually scared someone on watch as no one expects the EO to pop out of the uptakes randomly. I was still doing a step challenge from my previous unit at that point, and just from doing that kind of thing daily for a month we suddenly...

It is, most people only go into a most spaces once or twice, and generally don't enough attention that it sticks. Other people can find their way around the ship blindfolded. Some of the techs (like electricians) tend to go absolutely everywhere as part of their job, but some people only go from...

On the flip side, plenty of people in ops that have also never checked out the galleys, storerooms or machinery rooms, which is awesome when they are going in there for the first time to fight a fire. One of the fun things of being the Engineer that I got to every space onboard during normal...

    Arctic/Offshore Patrol Ship AOPS

I think a lot of the crests date back to the flower class at the start of WW2, but when you look at them all CHA really seems phoned in. I just imagine that the crests they really wanted was too over the top, so someone chose COA 3. Halifax class - Canada.ca

    Arctic/Offshore Patrol Ship AOPS

For sure, and I'm sure some people knew who they all were, but I hadn't heard of some of them. I think it's a great way to honour someone's heroics while keeping their memory alive, as a lot of people will learn about them through the ship names. On the flip side, when you hear what they did...

    Arctic/Offshore Patrol Ship AOPS

I think they shit the bed generally with the naming of the Halifax class, but they could have gone with something like the provincial bird (blue jay) or really anything other than a few squares. The unofficial crest with Screech the dog is pretty fun though, something that incorporated Screech...

These really make the most of the CPF crests look kind of pathetic. I loved my time on CHA, but that has to be the lamest warship crest I've ever seen.

Had to do something similar to fix a leaking pipe while deployed; the secret squirrels just needed notice and then watched to make sure no one touched their equipment. From that perspective wasn't really much different to the CCR or similar, just they needed to do a bit more to cover things up...

I'm not sure how incompetence is better, but he actively whipped up a crowd that was equipped and prepared for attacking police and storming the capitol, so seems like it was both malice and incompetence.

Or the sailors; that's a big ass ship, even with the smaller complement. The infra people will be struggling to keep up with the CSC/Sub infra requirements, even just the jetty/FMF aspect of that may break them lol.
