Now and then an enterprising individual will surprise you. Here in Kingston last month a private was convicted of robbing four different drugstores at gunpoint to obtain his poison of choice, which was Oxy. You don't see a lot of that.

Probably old news to many of you, but Canada's first imbedded war poet(ess) is back from Afgh., and while I don't usually like poetry that doesn't rhyme stuff with 'Nantucket', her stuff is pretty impressive. Her site is www.warpoet.ca and here's an article.

Actually, no. As has been pointed out several times in this thread, one of the main roles of a carrier group is as a deterrent, something that will park itself off your coastline and be a very visible reminder of what will happen if diplomacy fails in a blunt way that no number of stealth...
