Probably nil'...
Premier Eby seems dead against anything to do with pipelines. If he's super against a new pipeline thru northern BC, I doubt he'll be enthused about a pipeline going right through his backyard.
Michael Cooper is my MP & I couldn't be more proud of the work he does.
I wouldn't call them 'attack dogs' either.
I would call them sharp MP's who expect and demand transparent answers from the government when asked, and who don't settle for government non-answer jibberish.
They were...
This is where it gets tricky though...
Supporting the budget & working with the government to "unspend billions" isn't a thing.
The government has released it's budget. It is looking for support to pass the budget as it is.
They aren't looking for input from the other parties, and the...
Well that's certainly one way to...ummmmmmm...??
Bah, who cares. I'm in.
I understand why the government finally invoked the NWC, and I think that was one of the only courses available to them.
They had a generous offer on the table, and the union was wasting everybody's time by dithering on...
That's actually so damn cool, that it's still in service today
Imagine how many people have sat in the very same seats as the heroes that fought a physical manifestation of literal evil (in conditions that even the Russian-Ukranian war can't quite match) and haven't even known it
(Also a...
We're all one big unified happy family now though, remember?
So what's ours is yours!! You're welcome!!
(Just don't drive too fast - and REALLY slow tf down when turning - and you guys should be relatively okay)
You'd think so...
We had an RCMP officer here in Alberta that was charged & convicted of attempting to lure a minor online - he kept his job
In BC, an RCMP officer passed out while drunk, in a marked RCMP vehicle, in a drive through... - and kept his job
Before stupid people & corruption...
That actually gets me wondering...
I wonder how much McQuinty or whoever has been contracted to advise Mr. Carney's government, versus what they were getting from Trudeau??
Hmmmmmmm...
I'm not sure what there is to call out?
Full transparency - I'm not a navy guy & don't know what most of those acronyms even mean. I'm definitely not an SME)
What I'm saying is that when it comes time to fit sensor & weapon systems to the new River class destroyers, the weapons that are...
I don't think that's going to work...
When it's time to fit weapons & sensors to the River Class, nothing other the CIWS systems and maybe a few RWS will be transferrable.
The CMS, radars/sonars, weapon systens, etc are all in a whole other league than what's on the CPF's now
Not to mention it has a decent chance of triggering the Yellowstone super volcano when/if it happens...
I feel like the west coast of North America is in for a lot less help than they are probably expecting
After some quick reading, I think you're right.
(I thought I had read recently that the DND budget was increased by $8.1B to meet that 2% goal, and read elsewhere it was closer to an extra $9B...but now that I google it, I think I got my wires crossed somewhere)
I totally know what you're saying, I would just point out that depending on where someone is in the country, the way Canada thinks/acts can be quite different.
(Example - the way people around Edmonton think/act is very different than how people think/act in Ottawa. Or Toronto. Or Quebec...
